- We use TeamApp (for wet weather notifications early Saturday morning).
- sign up at teamapp.com
- verify your email address and login
- after you login, “Find my Team” and select Weston Molonglo FC
- In the top right – Click the +Join button – enter your contact details
- In the top right – Click the cogwheel (Settings) → Access Groups → join your Miniroos age group
- download the Stack TeamApp app to your phone to receive notifications on your phone instead of emails

2) MiniRoos certificate coach course (dates TBC)

3) The U6-9 Mini Roos draws will be published in TeamApp → Schedules

4) Matches are 7v7, played on a 1/4 size field, 2 × 20min halves. Kick-off times:
- U8s kick off at 9:30,
- U8G varies 9:30/9:40 – check the draw for Waramanga/Mawson/Wanniassa
- U9s at 10:30.

5) Please report scores in the coach/manager chat in TeamApp after each match ( so we can update the draw as required through the season to ensure matches are competitive)

6) Skills development session for teams on a BYE – TBC
- If we have an odd number of teams in the age group- (we currently have 15 x U8 and 9 x U9 teams, some need extra players)

7) U9s Coaches – Monthly player skills assessment – during the season, assess your players in the four core skills (1stT, RwB, StB, 1v1) plus their attitude and coachability so you can measure their progress through the season and create training sessions to focus on areas to improve.

8) Goals setup (U8s) or pack away (U9s) – the mini Bownets – watch the video, read the instructions, come to the MiniRoos organisation day on Saturday 1st April
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0mjbgwBwbE

9) Who can be Age Group Coordinators? – a few well organised people are needed to coordinate and roster these age groups, to notify them via TeamApp for your age group eg sending reminders to the team about team photos or BBQ/canteen roster – it will only take you ten minutes per week across the two terms

10) Team tasks and duties on match day
- Remind your parents and players every week to always encourage good sportsmanship, fair play, to have fun, whilst they are developing their soccer skills. Most of the game leaders are new, developing their skills, so treat them as learners, not yet masters of the LotG. This is not the World Cup!!!
- Please ensure no parents stand behind the goals – it creates a visual barrier for some players
- If there are any incidents of poor behaviour, first mention it to the person in your team who is wearing the yellow club vest, to also note and both of you can follow up with club management
- Collect the team kit from the Chapman lockup next week, look after it and return it after the end of the season. The team ‘kit’ provided by the Club includes – playing shirts (only worn on match day), training balls, cones, bibs
- Organise a parent roster for fruit at half-time
- If your team chooses, organise a parent roster to launder the playing shirts for the team
- Remind people to check the draw and field maps in TeamApp, also communicate club activities to players/parents (e.g. photo days and times, presentation day date and times).
– Ensure your team undertakes its club roster duty (the team is rostered only once per season for 2.5 hours). U9 teams are rostered on presentations day
- Parent roster for the goal setup/pack away on your field before/after your match, as required
- Sports/Encouragement Awards for players (if you want)
- Confirm the spelling of the players’ names for team photos and trophies
- U9s – monthly player skills assessments through the season to prepare for the U10 Divisions in the Capital Football competitions in 2024
- In early August – the coach writes a team report for the Yearbook
- Communications after the season eg Skills development sessions during Term 4
